Founder and lead arborist at Microbe Tree Services, Anton brings a rare mix of deep field experience, craftsmanship, and an insatiable curiosity about trees. He holds a diploma in Arboriculture from Humber College and is an ISA Certified Arborist. With a background in Environmental Sciences and formal apprenticeship training in southern Ontario, Anton has worked across Canada and Australia—from Victoria and Salt Spring Island to Sydney, Darwin, and beyond. He’s also competed in numerous climbing competitions and continues to push his physical and technical limits in the field.
Anton specializes in large tree pruning, where his eye for structure and detail really shines. He sees arboriculture as both science and craft—an ongoing conversation between people and trees that requires precision, respect, and humility. He often says the more he learns, the less he feels he knows—but the deeper his understanding becomes.
At Microbe, Anton’s role centres around building systems, mentoring the crew, and ensuring both the team and clients are well taken care of. His leadership is grounded in integrity, work ethic, and a commitment to doing thoughtful, high-quality work—like tasteful pruning, excellent clean-ups, and handling the small details without being asked. His team would likely describe him as knowledgeable, strong, fair, and generous—someone who leads from the front and takes pride in raising the bar.
Beyond the job site, Anton is a devoted family man who’s just as passionate about creating work-life balance as he is about delivering top-tier tree care. He spends his downtime swimming, camping, reading, and making memories with his family—always bringing that same sense of focus and purpose into his personal life.
To Anton, trees are more than just plants—they’re living alchemists, turning air, water, and light into wood. And that mystery is something he’ll never stop exploring.
